spiny urchin

I was thinking of getting a black spiny urchin. Are they good to have for algae removal? I have a reef system and was wondering what you guys think of them. TIA

Urchins will not just strip unwanted algae, but will also strip coralline. They are also quite hard to remove from the rockwork unless u take the rock out.

The little amount of coralline they do strip is small. Its way cooler to own one !!!
