Greetings everyone
Complete newbie here, hailing from Cape Town.
My stepdaughter gifted her mom with four comets over christmas. They'd belonged to one of her teenage friends, and had been fearfully neglected. We took them over cheerfully in their tiny octagonal tank (no plants), never realising what we were getting ourselves into.
Now, three months later we've got three tanks, one with comets and danios & one with guppies and platies; and a third with fry rescued when one of our platies gave birth. (We think she's pregnant again, yikes!) A big learning curve! My partner and I are very interested in planted tanks & trying to learn everything we can about aquarium biology, fish behaviour etc. Looking forward to learning whatever we can from this forum.
