Starfish reef safe?

Found a starfish on a clam I just bought, didn't know if it's reef safe or not.

Asteria star. They have been said to eat zoas though many say that, that's not true. Its also been said the color determines if they eat coral or not. You can remove them or leave them. I personally take them out just in case one decided to start having a snack.
