Ok, so I bought a new 90 gallon long tank. We set it up last night. While I was at the store, I realized they didn't have the live sand we have in our 50 gallon, so I bought the aragonite sand instead. We put all of the LR and things we needed to transfer from our 50 gal. It was clearing up fast last night. This morning instating home because I am sick :( but I noticed something on the glass. I believe that it is a starfish. Can anyone give me tips on how to keep this starfish alive?

Haha, I have 3 10 gallon freshie tanks. And now we are moving the compatible fish to the 50 gal, and donating the rest to our LFS. I hate to see them go. :( haha.

Asterina starfish. Not a big deal and they'll never get that big anyway. Might look up one day and have 20 of'm. No special care IMO.

So, you consider the tank cycled already? If not, it/they might die off when you shoot the ammonia up.

The other tank that we are moving everything from is already cycled, so I don't think that the ammonia will shoot up too high. There might be a minor spike, but that might not happen either. The canister filter we received is from a fully cycled tank too. Thanks for all of the info. I was hoping that this free little bugger might grow large.
