Should I wait a couple days after I have the sand in the tank to add the live rock?

You should add rock first then sand to minimize risk of a rock fall later on

theres really no need to do imo i would add rock, sand, water that way you reduce having sand all over your rocks. so just make sure to poor the water onto rocks or a plate depending on the size of the tank.

I would just add it all and then cycle the tank. IMO it really does not matter at all in what order. When I did mine it was Sand, rock and then water.

Well I think he said rock first because the rock shouldn't sit on the sand it is less stable and a chance of collapse. Especially if gonna have pistol shrimp of sifting gobies. Best to have Rock on glass then fill in sand around it
