Okay so its been over 8 weeks now. I have a 5gal tank. It has a filter, heater, light, airstone. I put fish and an african dwarf frog in it without cycling when I got it...well, the fish died.

I got a Master Test kit and have been testing the water, doing 10% changes and a 50% change weekly....The Nitrite and Ammonia are still high!!!!

The Ammonia is always high (.50 or more) and the Nitrite is .50 today as well.

I am getting very frustrated. Should I just start all over? I haven't changed the filter or anything. The frog is still alive, I don't overfeed. I feed it a small amount once a day, and not even every day sometimes.

What can I do? I am getting tired of looking at an empty fish tank.

Sounds like it's cycling some, so you're on the right track. Fish in cycling is just a little slow.

Your tank is quite small too. Stop feeding for 2 days then check your ammonia. Over feeding is one of the causes for high ammonia in new tanks.
