I am about to start up a new 46G freshwater. The tank used to house a couple of blood parrots, so I'm wanting to do a tank with a bunch of little fish instead of just two or three larger fish. I also want to stay away from cichlids on this one. Any suggestions?

I would also like to have some inverts in the tank. I know invert selection is limiter for freshwater, but I would also like some suggestions on those as well.

Personally I would do:
1m:1f angelfish
a large school of rummy nose or similar tetra
smaller bottom feeders of your choice like 8 corydoras or 3 angelicus/striata loaches
and maybe a couple live bearers like swordtails

Thats my opinion anyway, gives a lot of movement but has a couple less active fish and may be a little understocked so maintenance would be easy

Ok thanks for the suggestion! I am looking for my tank to have lots of activity.
