stocking idea help please

Ive cycled my sons 46 gal bow fronted tank and its currently stocked with 8 neon tetra and 6 glow light tetra my son now wants a couple of fancy goldies would this be possible?

I wouldn't recommend it. Goldies are messy. Traditionally, goldies are kept are cooler temps than most tropical fish are, but plenty of people do keep them at warmer temps successfully. However, the neons will likely get eaten when the goldies are big enough. But, thats just my opinion.
If I were you, I would get creamsicle mollies or something like that because they are still gold. There are a lot of tropical tankmates that are very pretty and personable.
