Don't believe everything the LFS tells you.
Honestly the tanks getting pretty full IMO. I'd up the school of glofish with more glofish or some zebra danios.
What your filter and water change schedule like?

What about a blood parrot fish?
In a 30g you could only fit one, but they have such great personalities and have a bright orange vibrant color if water paramaters are kept good. Mine have gotten along with smaller community fish, and larger aggressive fish, good all around

One blood parrot by itself will outgrow and over stock a 30g tank.

I do a water change weekly, more often if needed. Umm for the filter i just fo by what the box says..

How much water do you change? How many gallons/litres an hour does your filter cycle? If your water changes are enough and you have enough filtration you could get away with either a gourami, possibly an angel, a bristlenose pleco, a ram or another small school of something IMO.

Usually 30-40%. My filter does 200 gph

If your nitrates are under control with that amount then I think it's fine to add something else. I would keep an eye on those rosy barbs though.
