So i'm sitting there, looking at my female Red Wag platy, and it seems to be doing some sort of dance or display towards a few of my tank mates. It seems to rotate its body 90 Degrees, to show another fish its belly (usually my Swordtail, or my Rams and Gourami, rarely another platy). It then wags itself around, then rights itself back to normal and swims away.
With one of my other fish (which i believe is a platy/swordtail female hybrid) it seems to do this behavior alot, and sort of slaps the platy/sword in the face with its tail. Is this just a very large personality quirk or has anybody seen this type of behavior before?
