1~What type of fish is afflicted? In addition, please describe what is wrong with the fish to the best of your ability (i.e. cotton like growth, bloated, etc.).
One male African dwarf frog (so far that I can tell)
There is a long clearish/white stringy substance hanging out of his behind... I don't know if this is what internal parasites look like, or if it is from feeding them frozen bloodworms, they have not had them until today... And they ate quite a few of them. Can bloodworms cause stringy poo? I'll post a picture at the bottom
2~What are your tank parameters (ammonia, nitrites, nitrates, temp, pH)? Please give exact values.
Temp: 78F
Ammonia: 0-0.25
Nitrites/nitrites: 0
pH: 7.6
3~ How large is the tank? How long has the tank been set up?
10 gallon planted tank, set up for two weeks
4~What type of filtration are you using? Please give the name and number (i.e. Fluval 304) and amount of gph if known. Aquaclear 20 5~How many fish are in the tank? What kinds of fish are they and what are their current sizes? 1 male beta 3 male African dwarf frogs (two smaller and one larger, larger one is the one "affected") 3 Nerite snails 6~When is the last time you did a water change and vacuum the gravel? How often do you do this? How much water do you remove at a time? Water change yesterday, 30% with vacuum of sand Do this once a week 7~How long have you had the fish? If the fish is new, how did you acclimate it/them? Two weeks ago, from pet store 8~Have you added anything new to the tank--decor, new dechlorinator, new substrate, etc.? New prime dechlorinator yesterday with water change 9~What kind of food have you been feeding your fish, have you changed their diet recently? Frogs typically get omega one shrimp pellets soaked and broken up. I changed their diet today, I tried frozen bloodworms as I heard they like them. They ate quite a few. Don't know if the stringy thing is from those - they only ate them a few hours ago, not sure how often they poop?? Sent from my iPhone using Aquarium Advice
