Sudden bloat

I bought a platy today and he looked great, no signs of illness, and his belly was normal. I drip acclimatized him into a 5g quarantine. I got him at noon, and it is now 9pm and his stomach is considerable larger. This seems really weird to me since I thought when the the belly bloats its usually dropsy or constipation but this seems too fast for either. Is there anything I should do?

Lay off of the food for a few days and only give a couple peas and see if it gets better
