Hi people,

I have a 115 gallon marine tank and currently using 2 x 48" full spectrum & 2 x 48" actinic (blue) fluorescent lights. The height of the tank is approx 24".

Is this lighting sufficient for a coral reef tank?

No but you should get healthy coralline growth

Before lighting can be recommended, it would be a good idea to decide what types of coral you'd like to keep and the budget (if any) you are restricted to. Then choose the best lighting that fills those needs.

Cheers
Steve

what do you want in your tank is the real question - if you want a FO or FOWLR then its ok...but if you want more then you will need to upgrade it.
I started with that and just recently up it to a dual VHO and plan to get a 2nd pair to have a total of 4 110 watt VHO bulbs....
do research as to what bests fits ur needs...and budget.
