Swordtail and platys

Hi everyone I have a male sword tail who does not breed with the female platys I no this is cross breeding but as an amature when we first got the swordtail he was a baby and had no sword is it because they are a different species he will not breed with them they are all perfectly healthy water parameters are perfect and temp is 25 degrees

Well I guess he's just picky. You can lead a horse to water but you can't make it drink . Or he's not mature enough

Yeah I was starting to think that myself he has reached adult size if not grown a little larger about 8 cm with the tail, lookin into buying a 6ft tank so once i have removed a lot of my fish I will find some females for him! Thank you for the reply!
