We have a about 3 different tadpoles in our ponds every year and have brought some in for the grandkids. We feed them algae and tadpole bits and depending on the species of tadpole some are so very little I'd be more worried about the shrimp catching and eating the tadpoles (we have cricket and tiny tree frogs here and the 'poles are tiny). Now something better like a bullfrog tadpole I think I'd be worried about the 'poles crushing young shrimp. Seriously if you want to do some tadpoles I'd get a breeder box or find a way to section the tank off for them.
