I would leave it in. You need the biological media right now. After you get another 15-20 of LR you can consider taking the biowheel out if you would like. But the biowheel doesn't have any negative values on your tank whatsoever, so leave it on.

I agree to leave it in. Get another 15 to 20lbs of Lr and then take it out.
