Yea, im going to look into the brs screen tops. The only problem i have with them is i have a hob overflow and id have to cut the frame of the screen to fit.

Heats up your tank too much. Condensation on the under side. Waste of too much light not being able to penetrate. Salt creep would look terrible. Prevents gas exchange. (Unless you have a sump I suppose)

Bad idea in general - in my opinion. Mesh is way better!

Ok thanks for the explanation. I'm about to setup a 75 gal and it comes with a glass lid. I will see how things go. Might have to switch to mesh.

I used glass for a bit but the heat it trapped in was horrible and salt creep was bad.
