Tap water question.

Hen I originally set up my 55g tank I used treated tap water for the simple fact that 55g of water is just too much water not to. However, I've been adding only water from a distillery. My question is will all the unwanted chemicals from the tap water eventually dilute out of the tank from water changes? Or will it always we present in my tank?

I would imagine that they would be gone after so many water changes because you'd get to a point where its nothing but distilled water
