Territorial convicts

I have two blue convicts that have taken control of a large area of my tank. I think it's a male and female.

Is there a way I can change this , or would I have to get them a new home ?

Should I try moving all the rocks and drift wood around?

I moved some stuff around and found lots of eggs. Now I know what they were protecting.

If I remove one of them, will they calm down? Or do I have to remove both?

Removing 1 may help but it depends what else is in the tank and the size of the tank

I had to remove one when she started attacking me when I was cleaning the tank. Things seem to be setting down. Hopefully I can keep one.
