The best way to clean a plant

I have a question...
What is the best way to "clean" a plant before it is introduced into the tank? In other words I would like to be sure that I don't add egg snails, or parasites, or something into my tank...

Any help will be appreciated

Take a bucket of dechlorinated water and rinse it in there

I use potassium permanganate. The snails and eggs just fall right off. Also kills algae and bacteria. Here's a how-to, it's at the bottom of the page...
