thinkin of switching to planted

One more thing. Is it ok to start with a lot at once or should I do little by little?

It's actually better to plant a bunch at once or in a few big groups so you can get your paramaters leveled out as quickly as possible so you don't get an algae outbreak having to adjust levels constantly. For example if you were plant 100% of your substrate I would do 3 or 4 groups with a couple days in between just so anything you stir up can settle.

Also I looked up the aqueon modular led light I would think if you did 2 daylight strips and one colormax strip you would would be able to grow all low light plants and some low demand medium light plants. If I'm correct they come with one daylight strip and on amazon the additional strips are pretty cheap.
