tiger barb growth rate.

Hey there, I was wondering if any of you know how fast or slow should I expect my tiger barbs to grow full size. Right now they are 1 1/2 inches and I've read they get up to 2.75 or 3 inches.

Any help will be much appreciated.

There are many factors in growth rates like water conditions, diet, and tank size but on average I would think you'll see quarter/half inch every 2-3 months.

Sounds about right more or less ... not the fastest growth rate and in all honesty you'd hardly notice. The only way I could judge their growth is by seeing juvenile Tiger barbs at the LFS I got them from and see how small they look compared to mine.
