i have recently installed a dual air pump system to bubble out thru a 36 inch bubble tube stretching the lenght of my 30 gallon tank. i turned it on and was amazed at the amount of bubbles! it covers the entire back of the tank, and the bubbles are furiously shooting out. i was wondering, could you have too much air?

I believe (correct me if im wrong) but the air will only have a bad impact on live plants by oxygenating the water too much, but should be fine for fish!

You can't add too much oxygen.

The problem for live plants isn't too much oxygen, it is that it allows CO2 to get out (aeration).

Yep, the only problem with too much air in a non planted tank is scaring the fish.
