Vinegar water ratio

It looks like it's time to take apart my skimmer for the thorough cleaning and was wondering about using a water / vinegar solution but I wasn't sure what a good mixture was. Is 50/50 too strong? And after the cleaning I guess you have to really get rid of the vinegar with a fresh water scrub?

I would use 1 part vinegar for 10 parts water. Just rinse it off with water after you are done cleaning with the vinegar/water mixture and it will be fine. The vinegar will evaporate in no time.
