Hi,

I've been having alot of bacteria problems with my tank and suffered a number of losses to fin rot, my gourami is also not himself but is hanging on in there.. I'm trying to get to the bottom of it so I purchased a different water test kit, seeing if it can shed some light.

Tank temp is 25.9c 60l biorb.

My previous readings (2 days ago) with :
ph 8.5 Amonia 0.1 nitrite 0.05 nitrate 0.

Today with api 5 in 1 test strips:
Gh 180
Kh 240
Ph 7.5-8
Nitrite 0
Nitrate 80
All in ppm.

api seems to just tell me buy more of our products to adjust the water accordingly.

I'd like to get some real advice from real fish keepers..what's the best water conditions, which is the most important thing to get right, nitrate? Or ph?

Are weekly water changes using Zyme and stress coat enough? Shall I raise the temp? Add salt?

Any advice will be welcomed thanks :)
