what about this filter?

The market is getting flooded with Eheim clones with different names and slightly different features. When you break it all down, the simple fact is that none of these are Eheim, and do not be suprised is you have trouble getting a particular part later on. The clones sold under the names of Aqua and Jabo/Jebo/Jaebo seem to be the most popular for now.

As that filter is just under $100 after shipping and come with NO MEDIA, I feel you would be much better off with a real Eheim like a 2217 or a Filstar XP3. Once you fill up the canister with media, you will be surprised what it actually cost. The unit is not cheap enough to be worth the risk imo.
 
Ditto. As a word of advise, the Filstar XP3 is an awesome filter and works great. I got mine off Big Al's for $90 or so, filter media included.
