what can they eat?

i have 2 convict cichlids(3/4in.) ........ and a tiger barb in the same tank.... i feed the tiger barbs tropical food..... the cichlids eat it too... is that ok or should i buy cichlid pellets? can they eat like veggies and fruits???

I use hikari carnivore sinking pellets. You can try the small size. They are all my cichlids main diet, as well as frozen bloodworms/shrimp. I also do live once a month. As in rosies/guppys/crickets. My con's love all of these.

As far as your barb, it will most likely need to be removed or you can add more(5 or so) depending on your tank size. The con's will likely kill it if they become a mating pair.

They are 2 baby males..... But can they eat the tropical flakes?

They can, it's not gonna hurt them. But as I said pellets are by far the best thing you should feed them. As they gain size the flake food might not cut it.
