Found this in my boyfriends 80g reef tank. It's outside this small cave where the scissor tail & purple fish hide.

It has an EYE! Here's another picture where I shined light on it.





My bf says its a mysterious sponge?

It's creepy, where did it come from? It seriously grew out of the blue.

I would have to say nudibranch. but thats just a guess from the pic.

Google them and have a look around. there are so many different types.

I spent 1hr googling last night and discovered its a tunicates, family of sea squirts. Not sure if they are good or bad for the tank?
