What is a good lighting to make the rams appear more shiny, colorful?

I just got a pair of German blue rams in my 32Gal with many tetras.
When I first put em inside they were all washed out but after a day they got their colors and their shinyness back. But from far I wanted the Tetras and specially the Rams to stand out. Could lighting help? Or background (currently green plants)

a dark substrate helps a lot. Brighter white lights, like 10000k spectrum make the colors pop as well.
