Is there ever a risk of plant roots breaking glass? The plant roots seem to get into everything else (my home's plumbing). I would assume the roots would push their way up if they met resistance from the glass, but what if there are more roots in the way? That would be a horrible mess.

I would think that the substrate would heave up more easily than the glass would move down..... I hope!

I was planning on removing that crypt from the tank, but after seeing those roots it may be more involved than I had thought.

That thing started out as one little pair of leaves.
