Just bought a 95 Gallon tank and I want to use sand. I heard that there is a Cichlid that will sift the sand and it help keep it cleaned. I have other freshwater fish, so I want to make sure that the Cichlid is peaceful. I also heard that a horse face loach is good for sand. Any other suggestions?

You don't have to add anything specifically to keep the sand clean.

Okay thanks! That's what I wad looking for. Are there any other fish that you would recommend for sand? I want fish that will hide and also play in the sand. I heard clams are fun to have.

I have 2 freshwater mussels. They are wonderful addition in sandy tank. They can act like filter, too.

Chipokee(sp?) ichlids are about some of the most digging cichlids I have ever heard of. Many videos of them on you tube and almost every one I'd them digging in sand. In the phone so didn't google for actual spelling sorry.
