Whats your salinity

+1 to the chiller would be nice to maintain a zero fluctuation in the temp but as long as its not going over 80 I'm happy I was at like 82-85 untill I upgraded to a bigger pump and the better turn over rate helped cool my tank a lot now it won't get above 80 early makes it to 79.5 wich I love much better then 78-85 from night to day

Its not stays at 79 but used to get up to 87 :eek:
 
I don't run a chiller on my tank. Never went went about 80 this summer. Try to keep it at 79.

Me either. We keep the house at 72 in the summer & 68 in the winter, so it'd be kind of a waste to buy one.
 
Salinity at 1.0245, temp is 76 degrees. No chiller and house is kept at 70 degrees year round. We did have a 3 hour power outage recently so am seriously considering a whole-house generator. The power outage sort of had me on edge with the tank.
 
Lol. Not sure why I had a double post.. yea I live in fl so the generator was a life saver to my reef def a must have
