Hi

I am setting up a 30GA tank. Not sure what fish i will put in it but my question applies to all.
I m going to put some simple live plants but not do any fancy aquascaping.
Which bulb would you recommend?
It’s not really to keep the plants alive a long time but I want to avoid going to my LFS too often to buy new ones.
Also I want to provide my fish with a dimmer bulb. These regular fluorescent bulbs are animal abusers.

Thanks

Pat

Are you asking for a lamp (bulb) to go into a light fitting you already have or are you wanting a recommendation for a light fitting?

I like fluval aquasky fittings. They are fully adjustable with timers through a phone app, good for low demand plants, should last a good few years before it needs replacing (50000 operating hours) energy efficient etc.

Thxs so much. This is right on the money. So many combinations.
No more feeling sorry for the fish because it seems too bright in there.

Thumbs up
