White plant like hairs

What can i do about the hydroids on my glass, can i scrape them of with a scraper or what?

I don't know if you found what you were looking for, but your description matched something I was looking for (little hairs sticking out of live rock) and I think I found mine. They're mini brittle stars. I thought they looked like brittle star appendages but I never saw the whole thing so figured it was something else. You said you didn't find what you were looking for on the sites Kurt mentioned, but perhaps you missed this:

It definitly moves it's basically a slug sort of creature. thanks. again srry about the pic.
