White spot.

Hi. There is white spot on some of my fish, on the blue tan and longnose butterfly fish. Can anyone let me know.Can I put primafix in the water and will primafix kill the benificial bacteria?

I don't usually do saltwater, but what do the spots look like? Are they like little grains of salt? It could be ich, but hard to tell without a picture.
