Kinda old thread here, but after doing a lot of research, I'm guessing that that is a fungus that will eventually go away on its own. I just looked at my tubing in my cycling tank and almost cried it was so horribly covered in this white fungus. From everything I've read it can't hurt though. How did you end up OP?
