Why shouldn't you put a pacu in your 55g tank?

He'd definitely fit in a 55, maybe just a wee bit cramped :p!

They can grow to 2'. Long term I'm thinking a 150 or a 180?

They're tank busters and shouldn't be in captivity. They can get upwards of 50-60 lbs. good luck keeping that in a 180

They were in probably a 3000g tank with a red tailed cat and arowana. Most of the fish keeping 'donts'. I still didnt think the tank was big enough.

The largest recorded pacu is 38" and I believe 52lbs
Found dead in Florida.

All i could think the whole time was "yet they say aliens dont exist?" The video is freaky,id recommend grabbing the laptop for a quick view

My fav answer against big fish are River Monster's pics of Redtails, Arapaima, Arowana and Pacu, now he just needs to catch a 3' common pleco lol.

I wouldn't be surprised if a common could hit that mark in the right environment, shoot they hit 2" in tiny aquariums...

Most likely a L-155 Acanthicus adonis, they hit the 40" mark not including trailers.
