I have a 220gal 6' long tank with a marineland 400 hob and a custom cannister running 1321gph. Building a 3d background with all my stuff hidden for a clean look but I'm worried about getting dead spots. Any suggestions would be appreciated

More to push the flow behind to where the filter intakes would be

Could be worthwhile yes, I guess a strong filter might be ok and create a suction effect but I know what you mean. Mine are partially hidden behind rocks, etc and can take a bit to clear the tank. The water near the gravel looks great but the water near surface has some lighter debris which has got to make its way down to the filter intakes near the gravel.
