Hi all, iv had planaria before but these worms are a lot longer. They've shown up in my separators twice, always right after my fish dies in there. Not sure why my fish are dying either though

I have fighting fish. 1 in a 20 gallon and two others in smaller separators ImageUploadedByAquarium Advice1401924130.623741.jpg
I don't have a filter but I clean my tank about once ever week

use prazipro or fenbendazole powder I. your water, these chemical will kill the worm without harming your fish and plants

Thanks I'll look into it.
Do you know what the worms are though?

I had it once with my beta fish. I did a lot of water changes and eventually they (worms) all died off so definitely keep up with water changes!

They are planarians. They are normally found where there are large amounts of organic waste - you may be overfeeding and with no filtration, there is nothing to deal with biological waste. Ideally, without a filter, I would suggest a small 10% water change every day.
