Zoomed Aquasun T5 HO light

Does anyone else have this light? I just bought one for the tank I am setting up but I have not used it yet. They are on sale at Petco and I have a coupon so I wanted advice before I replace the T8 on my 10g. FYI: If anyone buys one of these -- they DO NOT come with bulbs. (bulbs are on sale now too).

I have one over my Cichlid (convicts) tank at the firehouse. It's a decent light. They make a quad light now instead of just a double.

I have seen the quad avertised but haven't found it for sale anywhere yet. I suppose that's why the dual is on sale because they came out with the quad!

Yea true. What are you keeping with the light?

Betta and maybe some corys and MAYBE a small variety pleco in a 20 Long. I plan on planting it and I also have a Marineland Hidden LED blue and white light fixture for the tank.

Oh that light will be fine IMO with the right bulbs. No need to go crazy.

That's what I figured. I don't want to have to get into CO2 or anything with high light.

Decent light, horrible design for the legs that attach to the tank. I can't put my glass top on because it goes on the inside and outside of the lip of the glass.

A 2 bulb t5ho on a 20L will have you in high light territory most likely, but cutting back to 1 bulb if algae pops up should help a lot.
