Yesterday I put a slice of zucchini in my 20g tank for my ottos to much on. It turns out that the majority of my fish are nibbling on it during the day, and the ottos at night.

This brings up an interesting question: is it possible that zucchini would clean out the systems of my fish in a similar manner that peas would, or is it just another good food for them to eat? They are both veggies and are a good source of fiber, after all.

They will definitely have a positive effect on your fish's systems. Just like us, veggies and fiber are good for them.

I thought that would be the case. Thanks for the replies.

It's nice to know that I can alternate between zucchini and peas occasionally to help the fish's digestion.
