I got this fish from a friend who had no clue. Done some research but no luck.

Its a Peacock, not entirely sure which species though.

Thanks, he said it may possibly be a hybrid.

Looks like a red shoulder, but has the coloring of a female, but the anal fin is longer ??? Puzzling

I am unsure. Here of some of the other fish I was given. He can't remember. I just took them because they were cool looking. Sadly I lost all but this guy to bad luck with something in my tank water.
