appple snail chiclid compatibility?

will it eat the apple snail.................its a small juvy yellow lab....hes barely an inch the apple snail is golf ball size how long can these two share the same tank?

Your apple snail should be ok. I would keep an eye on it though. I had 2 apples snails in with my Kribensis and they were fine until she spawned.

After she spawned, she kept on pecking and pecking at the shell.

My kribs, especially the female, wouldn't leave my apple snails alone. I had to give them away because they couldn't eat since the krib bugged them so much. Kribs are my only cichlid experience.

The yellow labs are pretty calm cichlids. They really don't bother anyone or anything. You may want to try just two and see where it goes.

nah. IME, they'll kill them. The African cichlids are usually quite fond of snails, and mine took out a colony of the apple snails in no time.
