I've been looking into getting a mr. aqua 12 gallon long and was wondering if certian cichlids could be kept in it. I thought maybe it would work, because the tank is super long- dimensions are 35.4 x 8.3 x 9.4. I was thinking maybe a pair of jewel or convict ciclids? I will have really good filtration, so I'm really only concerned if they will have enough swimming space. If no cichlids will work in this tank, I understand, just be nice about it please?

:thanks: in advance!

The cichlids you named would not work, but a pair of dwarf cichlids would. Kribs, rams, or some other some others do some research and see what you like. I really like kribs and I got a pair for $7 at my local fish store so they are not to expensive either. Also look into african shell dwellers they might look cool since the tank is long and not to tall
