Empty 55 gallon tank (wanting cichlids)

Hello I was going to buy a 55 gallon tank and wanted to know what to put in it. I want African Cichlids but I need to know what species and how many to get.

it's your fish tank, mate. My advice would be go to your LFS and see which ones pick your fancy, write down there names and google them. find out how big they grow and what to look out for compatibility wise. when you have an actual idea on what you want come back with a list, and people can help you from there.

Ok, so I am thinking I want Mbuna Cichlids. My list is Yellow labs, Cobalt blue, zebras, and johanni. How many of each should I get for the fully cycled 55 gallon.
