Fungi growing on wood?

I have same aquatic wood that I washed and prepared myself after finding it my a local river. There's a little something growing on the end that I'm pretty sure is harmless but I'd like to make sure. It doesn't seem to be bothering my cichlids. Thanks in advance.

It happens with all wood, completely harmless, it will disappear in a few days.
