Good tank for cichlids?

I want to get some cichlids, maybe some tiger oscars and african cichlids. I was thinking of getting a 55 gallon tank. Will that be big enough for them?

That will be fine for one tiger oscar and nothing else or africans by themselves, mixing africans and south american cichlids is not a good idea due to different diet, water conditions and aggression levels especially while breeding.

and put it in my bro's 125g Cichlid Tank

HUKIT is the resident expert, I've found he's right 99.99% of the time when it comes to Cichlids.
When ever I have an African Cichlid question, I always hope he's online to answer.
