Hey guys, I have a 17cm Jaguar Cichlid which recently was fighting with a new tank mate that I got rid of after 2 days of battle.
Of course Jaguar won.

Since then he hasn't eaten any food & hates it when the light is on, just hides in his spot.

Is he just un-happy and being a grump?
How long can a fish go without eating any food?

Would like any information or experiences on this topic, cheers
Daniel.

I had an oscar that didnt eat when i added him in, with my other fish, just leave the light off and feed as you usually would, sooner ir later he will get hungry and have to eat, if that doesnt work try changing foods.

Jags can be drama queens just like oscars. They'll sulk when they are displeased and expect to be treated like royalty. My male always acted like that after I cleaned and rearranged the tank, leveling out his gravel pile. Give him a few days. Sometimes a small water change and turning the lights off will perk them back up.
