How to clean river rocks

Hi iam new to this so I was just wondering how to clean the rocks that I collected down the creek with out harming my fish

I just used a grill brush when I cleaned mine. I just took the water hose, held it over them, scrubbed until no dirt came off, then soaked them in the bathtub overnight.

i boiled mine, risky i know, but i put 15 pounds of porous (sp) river rock in my sw and its been months, nothing bad has happened.

Any time you boil rocks, you risk them exploding... it's not something that happens often, but the risk is there. I really wouldn't suggest anyone ever do that, nor advise anyone to do so.
