New african 55 gallon stocking

Hi I just set up my tank today to start cycling and I am looking to stock african cichlids like peacocks,haps and Calvus.
Any stocking advice?

I think you are going to have to decide on one. I don't think you can mix them and the haps may get too big for a 55. I do sa/ca so wait for some one more experienced with Africans to tell you.

Mbunas all male. That's what I have and it seems to work fine. very colorful.
Haps get big. maybe too much for a 55g tank.

Peacocks will work haps will not. Calvus are cool but I have never owned them I don't know if they will work with peacocks or not. In a 55 you don't want more then 5 peacocks.
